I am your voice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The account has so far attracted more than\u00a0<b>60,500<\/b>\u00a0followers. However, it still trails Trump\u2019s personal campaign Tiktok account, which has accumulated over<b>\u00a015.1 million\u00a0<\/b>followers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The move comes as TikTok\u2019s parent company,\u00a0<b>ByteDance<\/b>, faces mounting pressure to divest its US operations or face an outright ban in the US. Trump has granted three extensions to the original January 19, 2025 ban,\u00a0pushing the current deadline\u00a0to September 17.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Most recently, White House Press Secretary\u00a0<b>Karoline Leavitt<\/b>\u00a0said: \u201cThe Trump administration is committed to communicating the historic successes President Trump has delivered to the American people with as many audiences and platforms as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cThe Trump administration is committed to communicating the historic successes President Trump has delivered to the American people with as many audiences and platforms as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Karoline Leavitt, White House<\/b><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\">Trump\u2019s relationship with TikTok has shifted since his first term, when he signed executive orders attempting to force the platform\u2019s sale or ban its operations. Ultimately, his move faced court challenges and never took effect. However, his efforts helped establish national security concerns that later prompted bipartisan congressional action.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">During his 2024 campaign, Trump joined TikTok and credit the app with helping him connect with younger voters in his win over Democratic candidate\u00a0<b>Kamala<\/b>\u00a0<b>Harris<\/b>. Trump had\u00a0said\u00a0he has \u201ca warm spot in [his] heart\u201d for the app and that TikTok had an impact on his share of the youth vote during the recent election.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Last month, US Secretary of Commerce\u00a0<b>Howard Lutnick<\/b>\u00a0reiterated that TikTok\u2019s US operations must transition from Chinese to American ownership.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><a class=\"link-external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/video\/6376176862112\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Speaking<\/a>\u00a0on\u00a0<i>Fox News\u00a0<\/i>last month, Lutnick said: \u201cThe President really likes\u00a0TikTok, and he said it over and over again, because, you know, it was a good way to communicate with young people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cBut let\u2019s face it, you can\u2019t have the Chinese have an app on\u00a0<b>100 million<\/b>\u00a0American phones, that is just not okay. So, it\u2019s got to move to American ownership, it\u2019s got to move to American technology, American algorithms,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In late June, Trump\u00a0announced\u00a0that he had identified buyers for TikTok\u2019s US operations, describing them as \u201ca group of very wealthy people\u201d during an earlier\u00a0<i>Fox News<\/i>\u00a0interview. He suggested the deal would require approval from Chinese President\u00a0Xi Jinping.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><i>Bloomberg<\/i>\u00a0<a class=\"link-external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2025-06-30\/tiktok-buyer-cited-by-trump-is-same-investor-group-as-before?srnd=next-china\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reported<\/a>\u00a0that Trump\u2019s\u00a0referenced buyers\u00a0include the existing consortium of\u00a0<b>Oracle<\/b>,\u00a0<b>Blackstone<\/b>, and venture capital firm\u00a0<b>Andreessen Horowitz<\/b>. Those negotiations had previously stalled after Beijing withheld approval following Trump\u2019s sweeping tariffs on Chinese goods.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The Blackstone consortium had reportedly negotiated a deal that would give outside investors<b>\u00a050%<\/b>\u00a0of TikTok\u2019s US business while reducing\u00a0<b>ByteDance<\/b>\u2019s stake to below\u00a0<b>20%.<\/b><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Oracle is expected to acquire a stake if a deal proceeds, according to an earlier\u00a0<i>Reuters\u00a0<\/i><a class=\"link-external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/legal\/transactional\/blackstone-drops-out-consortium-bid-tiktok-us-source-says-2025-07-18\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">report<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">TikTok has over<b>\u00a0170 million<\/b>\u00a0users in the US, according to recent data.
